review 1: The first story in this book feautures all of the three sisters but focuses on Valerie. I enjoyed the plot and the relationship that started building between Colby and Valerie. In the beginning you get the background on both and then their fears for each other. But not many pages all of a sudden we have a repeat of all the same exact information that was told to us in the beginning. Things were repeated so much that I was frustrated. Debbie Macomber doesn't usually repeat information too much unless it is a series where she give background information. It seemed more like she needed some filler. So I was disappointing. There was also monologuing that was frequent. The story with Stephanie was likable. I couldn't believe some of the things she did to try to prove to... more the journalist that he was in love with her. After he rejected her she took off to Italy for 3 years and came back only 3 years later when her dad had a heart attack. Then she meets up again with Charles and you are sure what will happen in the end since David's dream.
review 2: Two good related romance novels about North Western Oregon, Don't know much personally about Houston or New York. But I remember climbing Multnomah Falls back in the late 1950s or early 1960s with a group sponsored by a member of the Sierra club. Sadly I had no great love around at the time. Maybe I was a bit young but still a teenaged boy... book of MB now to pass on to SHB... And I did visit Portland several times in the late 1950s.. From my reading Cherries were a popular and profitable fruit crop in the 1990s in this area. Now to read Norma's tale.
