review 2: Truman nominee 2011-2012. SPOILER. This one hit m... moree hard--it was a bit too close to home--the zombie family perpetuating perfection despite the fact that they're crumbling from the inside out. Lizzie is Jane's "perfect" sister is actually bulimic, which ends tragically. As a result of her sister's untimely death, Jane moves to the forefront of her parent's minds--eventually--and she begins to "bloom" after a lifetime of emotional neglect. Jane's character is so real--and the sentiments so heartfelt--that I weeped openly with this one. (Quite realistic for those of us who've been there.) A great read for tween and middle or high school girls. Despite the tragedy, it's a sweet story of Jane's coming-of-age. less
