review 1: This is the 1st book I read by Debra Burroughs. This book's story line is very confusing. When Kate finds out her sister Whitney was kidnapped it seems like she doesn't take it very serious. It seemed like Kate more focused on the new guy then her sister's disappearance. If my sister was missing I would be very upset, crying, & I wouldn't be worried about dating no man. The kidnapper seemed like they didn't plan Whitney's kidnapping very well. I also wasn't sure whether this was a romance or a romance suspense, it felt more like a romance to me. I'm not sure if I would read other books by this author.
review 2: I got this book as part of the "Dangerous Attractions" 10 book boxed set.I started reading but the writing is ALREADY driving me insane, so I'm not goin... moreg to finish. Since I haven't even finished chapter one and I'm not going to give the story a chance, I'm not going to give it a star rating at all.Here's an example of the writing, which I feel is underdeveloped and immature:"A slight frown creased her brow as she turned and glanced at the Caller ID. She recognized the area code for Seattle, where her baby sister Whitney lived, but if it were her sister, the phone would have shown her name and not 'Unknown Caller'. Peering up at the wall clock, she saw the time was ten-forty-five pm. 'Why would someone I don't know be calling me this late?' Tension crept up the back of her neck. 'No one calls this late just to chat'. Reluctantly, she picked up the phone."I refuse to read another entire book written like this. If this doesn't bother you, then by all means, read on and enjoy! ;) less
