review 1: A fascinating story and wonderful pictures. It left me interesting in the upbringing of this man and particularly his high school experience. It was interesting how many times the author, as a childhood friend of Dahmer, asked where all the adults had been and why they had not intervened in his life. It certainly gives pause to those of us who work with the young, and teenagers. I am glad we are given more tools today than teachers were in Dahmer's time to spot and help troubled youth. Not trying to say a teacher could have stopped him, but he was certainly a troubled, lonely, unhappy teenager.
review 2: I did think the book was interesting. I was able to see an in site on how Dahmer was with his friends. And how they never saw that he was having troubles.
... more I just wished it would have been more detailed about Dahmer and what kinds of things he did. But i relaized that his friends wrote this book at his point of view. I enjoyed the book, but i was expected more from it. When I was thinking that he was friends with Dahmer, I was thinking they were best friends, but the author wasn't that close to him. Although, I was able to see a side of how Dahmer was and acted and how crazy he was coming and no one noticed. less

Great graphic novel. A vicious cycle, ignored. The woes of parenthood and mental illness.
