review 1: I have yet to be disappointed by a story told by the wonderful Ms Palmer. In this story, like them all, you find a love that starts out young and innocent. You have a hardship that only makes that love stronger. The heroes are strong, silent and well, let's be honest, they are amazingly handsome and not necessarily in looks but in actions as well. Diana makes characters that you can't help but fall in love with .I would like to tell those who have read all Diana's book that this one DOES NOT require the Iron Skillet. As an inside joke they will understand that. If you haven't read one of Diana's book, please do yourself a favor and buy this. WARNING: After you have read one , you will want to go and read them all. :)
review 2: Michelle is living in hell. Her d
... moread died and left her to live with her step mother, who hated her. Michelle tries to keep her head down and just make it to graduation. Roberta made it her life's mission to sell all of Michelle's dad's things and didn't care if it was special to Michelle. When Michelle can't take it anymore she goes and sits in the middle of the road and hopes a car hits her and ends all of the misery she's enduring. Enter Gabriel, he is driving along and sees a girl in the road. He stops and helps up the girl in the road.Gabriel is a mercenary, he's hardly ever home but he's seen Michelle Godrey before. When he finds her in the middle of the road trying to get hit by a car he decides to keep an eye out for her. Then her step mother dies and shes still underage, so he becomes her guardian. He has her come live with him but only after he calls his sister Sara to come a live there too so there is no talk. What Michelle doesn't know is that he's found her attractive the whole time. He wants her to live though, he doesn't want to start something with her and then later in life her resent him.I really love anything that Diana Palmer writes. She does have a formula to the way she writes. It's comforting though. Michelle is sweet and Gabriel is hard and tough, together they are lovely. Every book we get to see so many characters from her other books. It really is like going home, since I've been reading her books for the past ten or more years. Enjoyed this book overall. A little slow at times, and I couldn't stand the constant WoW references.
