review 1: I loved the start of this new series and have been meaning to get to it for a while. The initial meeting between Jared and Alex was completely unexpected in terms of the nature of their conversation that I had to chuckle along with Jared. I also appreciate Jared’s integrity and the care and caution with which he started up a relationship with Alex – especially in light of Alex’s age. I very intrigued and definitely want to read more about these guys!
review 2: This is a sweet story that I was wary of at first. I work with ninth grade boys--fifteen-year-olds--and the fact that Alex is only fifteen and Jared is twenty could have been very uncomfortable for me. A five year age difference in a couple isn't a big deal if one is thirty and the other is thi... morerty-five, but when one is fifteen, it's a huge chasm.Thankfully, Diane Adams treads very carefully through some dangerous territory. Jared has integrity, and he does his best to keep an appropriate relationship with Alex. The way the story is presented kept me from being bothered by the age difference. I look forward to Valentine's Day and the next installment in the story. less
