review 1: …And on to Book #3 in the series. Once again, the fun of this series is maintained. My only "gripe" with the series is simply that the books are not in anyway self-contained works. It is much more that each book is a chapter in the story arc…so they do not end in very satisfying spots. Be warned - if you are like me and get hooked, you will simply move on to the next in the series! And this one continues the story. Again, some odd choices in the story arc at times…but the execution remains at a consistent and enjoyable. What more can I add other than I'm already into the 4th book… (And that WARNING: I was under the impression that the 4th book was the end of the series. I have now learned the series is supposed to conclude in book 5…which is due in 2015. O... moreuch!!!!!!!!!!!! Grrr…I hate starting unfinished series…!!!!(
review 2: Molles isn't going to win a Pulitzer for beautiful prose, but he tells a good story and the pace never flags -- both necessary characteristics of a good zombie read, which this series is. For self-published novels, these are unusually good, with only a few boneheaded grammar bloopers per novel. I've learned to generally avoid self-published Kindle books, as they are almost uniformly crap. (Note to wannabe authors: there's a reason publishers employ book and copy editors.) But Molles is a welcome exception. less
