review 1: Very enjoyable read filled with escapism. It was great to share unique travel experiences through the eyes of aunthors and it has defintiely introduced me to some new writers. The downside was that sme locations were a bit repetitive and there was a huge focus on unusual locations, middle aged crises in India, journeys of white privilege etc and short trips too. I don't think good travel writing necessarily needs ot begin in the weirdest most obscure locations. Having siad that I loved the piece about the Antarctic.

However on occasion the narrators let me down with their hokey accents that were supposed to reflect the nationality of the author - but if you actually know the author's voice or a true Australian accent it just distracts from the story. This collection would have been great if each of the authors could have "told" their story on the audio CD. less
