review 1: Having read book one in this series, I did want to read book two - but it took me a while to get to it. And then I finished reading one book and couldn't figure out which one to start reading next... and then I clicked on the collection this book was in and figured it was as good as any to read.It was interesting to read the book with Gregor in next. Fiona hadn't made a proper appearance in book one, so I didn't know anything of what she'd be like. She was certainly independent... fairly amusing at times, sweet at others... and undeniably stupid at other times. I don't mean that she lacked in intelligence, but there were times *I* was getting frustrated with Fiona, so I could only imagine how Gregor must be feeling. There had been hints dropped about Gregor's past in book o... morene and it was interesting to find out the rest of his past. He and Fiona worked really well together, both with their issues and both unwilling to commit to each other (which was one of the frustrating things).I liked seeing Glenna and Moira again. They both kept their personalities from the first book. I was happy with the way the book ended and I've decided that I really like Aimery. I kind of hope he'll be in it a lot more.I also found it quite interesting to learn about who the Shadow was. All in all, a great read - and I've already started book three.
review 2: I really like this series. It is a story of Highlanders, Druids and Fae. Three druid sisters separated as children comes together to find their mates and fulfill a prophecy to save Scotland. This is the second installment in the series and tells the story of Fiona and Gregor. They both have built walls around their hearts to bear the traumas of their childhood. When Fiona and Gregor first come together she immediately knows he is her mate, but is determined to keep him at a distance for fear he will abandon her as her sister did. Gregor feels for the first time with Fiona, but thinks himself unworthy of her love. The intrigue of the story lies in the details. Ms. Grant has woven a world Highland life, Druid and Fae magic. There are battles, sword fights, kidnappings, murder, love, forgiveness, self discovery and more.I highly recommend this series. less

Again. Yeah, she came out with a second book in this series. I liked this book as much as the first.
