review 1: After a bad marriage and divorce, Tara decides to gain closure in her bad relationship by following a magazine article called The Seven Steps of Closure. As Tara clicks off each step she finds herself achieving the closure she wants and also finds love in the process. This storyline premise was unique and fun to read. I enjoyed the psycho animals and all the funny situations Tara finds herself in. I especially enjoyed the second half of the book where Tara is travelling in India with Matt.
review 2: 2.5 stars.Usually I don't go for books which feature characters going to India, coming from India etc. I even stopped reading the Lady Julia Grey series because they came to India (no one can really capture India as it is and it grieves me deeply when people do an i
... morencorrect representation; because the India I know is very different from the India they see) for their honeymoon. I didn't know this book involved the MC coming to India. I didn't know the book was set in 2008 (26/11 happens and our hero is...a hero there). If I'd known, I wouldn't have read it. But it was refreshingly different. There were a few missteps (in representation and story) but I could overlook it. Tara is pretty awesome, all things considered, and while the story does stray into familiar territory at parts, when I finished reading, I found myself smiling. Which is more than I can say about most books. less
