review 1: Excellent women's' book. The story of a 58 yr old who discovered she was lonely and unhappy, the story is about her struggle to decide just how important her happiness was. She does! There are those in her life that were not happy with her decisions. As a woman of this age, I thought her thoughts and feelings were true, and accurately descriptive. A good read for married couples of that age. Good book!
review 2: I thought this book was really funny with a few nuggets if truth and even some wisdom, but several things bothered me. The timeline was about 10 years off, poor editing and poor writing! The heroine (who should be turning 50 and not 60) is portrayed as too good and needs to own her mistakes in the marriage, with the children, and in distancing hers
... moreelf from her brother. It's still a fun beach/vacation read, as you can tell by the cover. less
