review 1: 3 and 1/2.I liked the story about Dubose Heyward (author of Porgy, from which the play Porgy and Bess was born) and his wife, Dorothy (his muse), or the brains behind Porgy, as this book strongly suggested. The chapters flipped from Cate, present day living in the cottage on Folly Beach that the Heyward's lived in, to scenes from a play about the Heywards.
