review 1: This was a cute tale of a "proper" Duke's daughter trying to find her independence in Regency England -- and of course, choosing to do so by finding a wicked rake to "tutor" her in scanadalous ways. Despite this trope having been done nearly to death in historical romance, I still enjoyed it. Iona wasn't QUITE as stupid about her escapades as many heroines in similar situations (though really, the whole gambling thing with the mustache made me shake my head), and Nathan actually managed to redeem himself in my eyes despite having gotten off to a VERY nasty start. This was free on Kindle when I picked it up, but I'd still recommend it had it been regular price -- a sweet, easy read with just enough drama, angst, and steam to keep things interesting. 4/5 ... moreStars
review 2: Lord Nathan Wynter is a romance novel hero you'll never forget, and not simply because of his physical endowments. He is selfless, falsely accused (willingly so), and conflicted. The sexual tension between Nathan and Lady Iona is palpable. They struggle to come to terms with who they really are deep down, and what they mean to each other. The author keeps us guessing until the last page as she immerses us in the town of Bath in the Regency era with beautiful descriptions of costume and setting. It's one of those books you cannot put down. less
