review 1: A nicely done little book. The drawings really help set the creepy tone, and the ending was actually a bit of a surprise to me, which is rare in horror fiction. A twist, and then another. And in the middle, a thought-provoking discourse on the dead. I almost wish it was longer, so I could have wallowed in the superbly wrought atmosphere a little more, but it was actually just the perfect length--it said what it needed and left me wanting more.
