review 1: My favorite types of books are fairytales. I love how things changes so often in this book and how Annie met so many people and experienced so many different things. The incorporation of things that are similar to other fairy tales even made it better. I love seeing things through Annie's eyes and the fact that the things I was not even expecting happened. (Like finding out Liam's true identity and the finding out who was the one for Gwen). I loved loved loved this book and I was the happiest one on the universe to read this. It was so worth my time. I became to love Princess Annie and I felt like I could relate to her a lot. Many of my future students I bet could relate to Annie and how she feels. I recommend this book very much so and I enjoyed reading the last stretch t... moreo my roommate. Even with her coming in when she was in the tower, she loved it and was able to catch on. I literally could go on forever, but I won't. READ THIS BOOK.
review 2: First off, let me just say that I love anything that E.D Baker has written. But The Wide Awake Princess has to be one of my favorites. Annie is a wonderful character because she's so easy to relate to. She's an ordinary girl in a world of beautiful people and magic but she is totally okay with being herself. She's brave and only wants the best for her family, even if they treat her like crap. I think Baker created a character that young girls can look up to and see themselves as princesses. less
