review 1: based on the other reviews, i guess i'm crazy for not loving these - it should be known that i just finished two 1000-page epic fantasies, so these two stories seemed even more brief than might have otherwise. girlfriend can certainly write - her characterization was top notch - but overall read like the beginnings of blog posts. will look forward to her novel, coming out later this year - length can only help!
review 2: This is basically just the perfect little book. I absolutely loved it. I found the main character extremely relatable, as unlikable as she is and the writing was funny, quick, and poignant. I read this book a few months ago and images and flashes of scenes still pop into my head occasionally and make me smile.
