MasterChef produces great chefs every year. Both winners and other competitors alike become well-known in the food industry. We looked at three past MasterChef winners to see what they are up to now.
Simon Wood, 2015
Simon WoodSimon Wood released his first book on April 11 2016 ‘At Home with Simon Wood’ and has opened his own pop up restaurant, The Boardroom in Oldham Event Centre, Manchester. Since his win Simon has worked with Marcus Wareing at The Berkely and Theo Randall at the InterContinental.
Shelina Permalloo, 2012.
Shelina has since published two cookbooks, Sunshine On A Plate and The Sunshine Diet. She has also opened her own restaurant, the Lakaz Maman in Southampton, offering Mauritian Street Food. Shelina has previously teamed up with Sainsburys, Hotpoint and BBC Dish –up creating easy to-do recipes.
James Nathan, 2008.
James Nathan ran his own successful restaurant, The Green Room at the Retallack Resort and Spa in Cornwall for three years. Since March 2016, he has become head chef at the St Enodoc Hotel in Rock, Cornwall. James recently took part in the Christmas Padstow Food Festival.
