review 1: This is the short story of a little boy who buys a goldfish. I read this as a little short story to kill a little time as often children's stories are a great quick read and really put a smile on your face. This book was very odd and was too short to actually tell a story. I got the impression that the whole book was designed simply to tell children how to look after a fish. It is informative for children but that is it.The pictures in this book are very nice and the comic book design is a very good style for children, but the book itself is not the most entertaining.
review 2: Orangey The Goldfish was a cute story. Especially since many children think of goldfish, as their only fish or something they eat. I enjoyed this book because it was a good lesson to... more children on how animals/pets are a responsibility and they can be cute and fun but require work. This would be a good book to read to children who are getting animals in the near future, or who are not taking care of them. I also liked this book because it showed how close someone can get to the animals that they have and they can become a real part of your family. All in all, this book was cute with good pictures to keep children interested. less
