review 1: Crawl was my first experience with novelettes, and I'm afraid I've been spoiled on the novel because I found myself at the end entirely too soon. Don't get me wrong, I enjoyed every bit of this story, which was why I wanted more. I really wanted to sink my teeth into the story and delve deeper into the characters (especially the mysterious villain), but I was left instead with a chilling cliffhanger. As usual, Mr. Lorn gives a fantastic literary performance, developing a great story with a foreboding atmosphere, but he had me crying ENCORE! much too soon.
review 2: This was perfect, a small quick book with a huge helping of horror and gore. What's not to like really. A road trip, Juliet and Coltan in the car going to her mothers after him doing the dog sitter.
... moreAnd on the dark and lonely roads anything can happen. Its amazing how things can go wrong in the blink of an eye. Then BAM! I liked the style of the writing and loved Juliet and Colton, but I wish we had seen more of the red priest. I think his story, causing all the pain and horror would of been awesome. Its well named as well, poor, poor Juliet. less
