The book first caught my attention with the cover. And then the blurb sold me. I’m glad to found and enjoyed this book.
I’m an officer of the law, and it’s my job to uphold that law, but there are times I’m also just a man who really wants to beat the fuck out of people.
I definitely sympathized with Niko with what he had to live with. I could feel his guilt, frustration and anger. I like his determination even though it’s bordering on obsession, at the same time he could be very patient when the situation needed it.
I enjoyed the storyline and the mystery/suspense element added to the intrigue. It kept me forming theories and questioning things which I love in books because it helped me keep my attention. One thing though about this book, I think it’s a tad too long with some unnecessary details. Also, I wish the epilogue was simplified and tightened up more.
There’s something incredibly painful about trying to hold down the hope when all it wants to do is rise up and be set free.
Pitch Dark is a story of a man’s tenacity in uncovering the truth. It would appeal to fans of dark suspense.
Note: There were some graphic and puke inducing scenes lol!
