review 1: This book was hard to get into initially, but as the story progressed it got more and more interesting. The cover is a little cliche and since I- regrettably- judge books by their covers, I would not have picked it up had it not been for my book club. Overall, it was a good, suspenseful book filled with strange, brutal characters and a sort-of happy ending, although it was a wee abrupt.Favorite Line: "You could never undo a dangerous girl. You could only ask her to be dangerous for the right reasons."
review 2: You know that you deserve to be punished, but you soon begin to wonder if your punishment is ethical at all. Angela has plenty of problems that include guys, her mom, and her grandfather. There comes a point that her parents can’t stand it anymore, so ... morethey send her to Hidden Oak: A school isolated in the middle of nowhere, with crazy consequences. In the beggining, nothing seems too bad, besides the video cameras watching her every move. But soon Angela is classified as a purple thread girl. The definition: A girl who is so bad that the school has given up on them. She is put in a horrible place with other girls like her, left to fight out there troubles. With every breath, Angela is in danger. She knows that she has got to get out of this place, but how will she escape from the school for dangerous girls? This book was awesome! I enjoyed every part of it but the end where it was too rushed. This book is very challenging and definitely has a lot of adult content, so I recommend it to mature readers. less
