review 1: Was an okay read. It wasn't very exciting and it was very sluggish in the building of the plot. Towards the end, I kinda figured out who 'did it' so to speak, but it was still a surprise. The only reason why it has gotten three stars rather than two was because of the end. And even then it was pretty hard to fully understand. The explanation wasn't the best. In summary: sudden start, slow middle and rising action, surprising ending that sort of made up for it.
review 2: I'm not sure where I got this YA novel or why but I decided to grab it off the shelf for my last read of the year. It is , like many YA books, suitable for adults too and I really enjoyed it! Abby has always protected her little sister, Maya but when the ne'er do well, druggie, dropout is susp... moreected of murder will she be able to save her or even want to? There are plenty of twists and it was an easy, enjoyable read. less
