review 1: Fun and lighthearted. It made me laugh and kept me entertained. Gladie is determined but a little blundering - in an endearing way, not a train-wreck way. It was also nice that although she had a flirtation with the two main male characters, that wasn't the focus of the book. The author didn't feel the need to cheapen the plot by ending it with Gladie living happily ever after with any old guy. Instead the book is more about her finding her way and discovering her own talents.
review 2: I enjoyed this book every step of the way. It is full of suspense, romance, and laugh out loud moments. There are a few aspects of the book that are a stretch (I.e. The way Glady gets herself caught up in the murder drama), but it is what it is. It's a fictional story meant t... moreo entertain. If you except it for that and don't take it too seriously, you'll have fun.
