review 1: This book was a whole lot of story packed into less than a hundred pages! I loved it!Abby works in a bar as a waitress and a singer. Abby has amnesia. Abby is waiting for her memories to return when she is ready, as her doctor claims they will. Abby has an instant attraction to Caleb, roughly similar to a jet fuel fire.Caleb is a vampire. Caleb is on a mission. Caleb goes to the bar and he sets his eyes on Abby. Caleb must have her. Caleb will have her. But first Caleb has to save Abby, and Abby doesn’t even know she is in grave danger.Liz (that’s me) is wondering how in the hell she can wrestle Caleb away from Abby because she wants him for herself. “She marveled at the taste of his kiss as she fell deep into the drugging embrace of his arm... mores.”Ok, first things first – Caleb. OMFG. Talk about HOT. He is a cowboy vampire capable of a southern drawl that will melt you from tip to toe and he rides a motorcycle. Caleb has a bit of a dominant edge, and Abby isn’t the only one (um, hello, me!!) who thinks he is sexy as all get out. When Caleb and Abby get together my kindle caught fire right in my hands, it was very erotic and thoroughly enjoyable. But I get ahead of myself. This book was terrific. The mystery inside is “How did Abby lose her memory?” and the answer was seriously unexpected! I just love a mystery that will keep you guessing, and this one did. Add to this glorious equation a few action scenes that will have your heart thudding. And then multiply that all by some very high heat and very sensual intimate scenes that will have you curling your toes in fantasy! Caleb is dominant and aggressive in all the right ways, and if I were Abby I would have reacted the same way. Really, I just adored her so much I wanted to cheer her on with a big ol’, “you go girl!”If you are into vampire erotica (and you should be) you will definitely enjoy this book. My only hope is that the author will decide there should be more of this fantastic couple. This is my first read from this author (Eliza Gayle) but it is definitely not the last. And lucky for me – and you – she has an extensive library to choose from!
review 2: I really want to give this 4.5 stars but seems GR won't let me!First off, where can I get myself a Caleb Barrett? Bloodsucker or not, I'll take two. ( What a book THAT would make! )So here we have the story of Abby, who's lost her memories, as a barmaid/sultry singer who is unknowingly in danger. Enter super stud, I mean cowboy/vampire/Dom Caleb who's on a mission to find a rogue vamp. I really really liked both characters. Both were complex enough for you to invest in them, and complemented one another perfectly. I really loved no one thing was the center of attention. Everything was pretty balanced plot wise, and highly enjoyable. And if this were a series, it would be an auto buy. less

Good book, the ending kinda of left one hanging. Except for that a good read.
