review 1: The book” I,Emma Freke” is a book mainly about a twelve year old girl named Emma Freke.Emma Freke is always afraid to say her name because it sounds like “I am a freak”.Whenever someone says her name,Emma always says my mom never said my name before she put my name on my birth certificate. That is why Emma only has one friend, Penelope. At the beginning of the story Emma hates her name. But at the end of the story she is proud to be Emma Freke because she goes to a family reunion with all of the Frekes. At the family reunion Emma realizes she should be afriad of who she is. Also at the very end the story Emma comes home from the family reunion and her friend Penelope tells her that she got a new adopted sister and she got to pick her middle ... morename.
review 2: This book was better than I expected. I wasn't looking forward to reading it that much, but it did surprise me. It took a while to get started, and I felt the whole beginning was wasted. The whole part of the family reunion, the second half of the book, was pretty good. I liked how in the end Emma was confident in herself. Finally. It was a quick read, I finished it in a day. I would recommend this book to anyone who likes books that just tell ordinary stories. less
