review 1: A bit of disappointment, I was hoping for a grand finale but it ended with a whimper. The first two-thirds of the book is glorious, but then it collapses. Too many loose ends to tie up, too many characters is my guess. This book is #8 in the Bachelor Chronicles. Lord Langley is just not believable, too much of a cardboard cutout. Minerva, Lady Standon, works well and as long as she's the center of attention, the novel works. Still one of my favorite authors and I'll buy her next book.
