review 1: Hot, funny, did i mention hot? LOL-----I actually laughed out loud on a lot of scenes, His face is serious, but mocking as well. “Things got … complicated.” He’s shaking his head in confusion as he chuckles.“It was really confusing with the wings and the dry weave and the long and the extra long and the regular, and heavy, max, min, medium, mean…” I’m pretty sure he’s quotingstatistics at this point, but he keeps going as I laugh. “Light, moderate, the flows and the … the … I mean what are adult diapers, baby diapers, pads, tampons, condoms, and lube doing all in one place? And do you know how many women hang out in that aisle at one time? There was a baby … and it was mocking me.”------------------Five hours, one speeding ticket, and a narrow mi... moress with the stupidest Iowa deer I’ve ever met later, and I’m pulling into her parents’ driveway
review 2: I didn't realize that I was reading a Harlequin romance (sarcasm intended). Let me begin by saying that this heroine and I use this term loosely annoyed the crap out of me so bad that I wanted to slap the shit outta her. I hate passive, spineless scared mouse women in books and Adeline fit that description to a T. She never stood up for herself and let others walk all over her. If I had to read about tears welling up in her eyes one more Gat Damn time I was going to scream. Frankly I didn't know what the H saw in her she was a sniveling weak willed little girl. At any sign of trouble or discomfort she was willing to throw in the towel. Every confrontation or rebuke from others caused her to cry or get frightened. I don't even understand how she even got the internship in the first place being as complacent as she was. Can you tell I didnt care for her much. Another thing that bothered me was the chances that they took in getting caught, I mean really I can understand a little work place nookie but everyday almost and at the work site constantly No Bueno! It was unrealistic that they only got caught that one time. I really liked the premise of book but the heroine was TSTL. This book could have been saved if they had their one night stand and once she discovered that he worked at the company and would be working together that they could have had a continued attraction but not acted on it. Flash forward to a few years down the road and she is well established in her career and they end up meeting up again or collaborating on a project and the attraction between the two was still there. Now that book I would have enjoyed not this Harlequin romance where the hero proposes to a 22 yr old girl with no backbone or confidence. NOT HAPPY!!! less
