review 1: I didn't know what I was going to get with this book. I thought she'd have to choose one of the men. Then I couldn't remember if this was supposed to end up a menage book but I didn't want to go back to the blurb and get any clues. I wanted to be surprised.The book opened up with a super hot scene right off the bat. I had to suspend disbelief because I didn't know if anyone would truly just DO THAT!! And then I started to think, why not? (Other than the super obvious reasons why not to act that way.) I could see the allure and the how she needed to do something out of her ordinary life. I think it opened her mind to what she'd been missing.I don't know who I could have picked in this story to be happy with. While both men had their finer points and their bad points, I thin... morek her actions spoke for themselves. Max kind of hinted that the relationship with Adam was built on all these lies, whereas the one with him had more truth. The only thing she was holding back was her feelings. She never did give him a chance.I was surprised at how the book ended. But I didn't want it to just end and have all these broken hearts lying around. Thankfully there is a second book that wraps it up. I'm Team Max at this point. Let's see who gets the girl!
review 2: Elizabeth and Haley did a great job with the writing of this novel. It's. even edited respectably, although I only gave it 3 stars because of a few different reasons.1) The relationship between Max and Lily just didn't seem very realistic. I mean, what are the odds that you meet someone on a plane and then he just happens to show up at your place of employment a few days later? 2) I didn't like the way Lily portrayed herself a lot of times. I realize she had self esteem issues but, honestly, what woman doesn't at some point? That doesn't make how she acted "okay". Yes, for once, I'm siding with the men!3) I'm really more into happy endings. Don't we all want to read books where, in the end, the girl still gets the guy where he can forgive her wrong doings and be happy with her! Anyways, all in all, I enjoyed most of the story. The sense of humor was a welcome change, not many authors now days know how to throw in just enough comedy. The sec scenes were flaming hot and I enjoyed every moment of them.I'm going to read the sequel to see if we get our happily ever after. less
