review 1: 3 1/2 stars. Lucy Merritt lost both her parents in the line of duty and has done her best to keep a low profile at the CIA. She keeps a rigid control on her life until she gets conscripted to help combat a horrific biological weapon. Captain Mike Shafer is assigned to help the document expert return to the source of her childhood trauma while they try to investigate and stop the people behind the terrible weapon. The two of them must learn to work together and survive long enough to prevent widespread catastrophe while dealing with their unwilling attraction to one another. Desperate measures result in life-threatening dangers that will require all of their resources to circumvent.
review 2: This one is hard to rate. While I love Jennings writing, especia
... morelly little details that she describes, I kept wishing there was more dialog. And the ending was dreadful. I mean the H/h go thru so much drama and then there is 3 pages to sum up their happy ending? What the heck? This book would have been wonderful if 1) LESS human suffering details 2)More dialog 3) more pages in ending 4) Less pages about the bad guys (I cant believe they got chapters) What I liked 1) The research the author did (awesome job) 2)The possessive hero 3) the strong heroine without being a Kung-fu-ninja-dressed-in-black-leather-knife-weilding-mama 4)the details less
