Now I have to say after I seen Logan I cried because I realized that was the end of my era. Yes they always have the remakes and new actors but wow. Hugh Jackman performance as Logan was fabulous! It was definitely a different X-Men movie then what you are used to. For those who haven’t seen it yet…(Spoiler Alert!!!!!!)
We start off seeing Logan a drunk and washed up driving a limo now. Charles, because of his mind it kind of went to crap and he did something that was unspeakable. Later we find out he killed the X-Men because with his mind going he couldn’t control it. For us nerds into comics, they changed it up because in Old Man Logan, it was Logan that killed the X-Men. But that’s another story!
He ends up running into a woman who has a child with her saying it’s his kid and his abilities. People were trying to take them because they wanted her dead when the mutant program didn’t work. Some people go looking for Logan and they have to escape. Something happens to Charles which is sad that I won’t reveal. And Logan has to help save the new mutants that have the same abilities that his team had. There was a moment when I cried because that’s when I realized my childhood died. It was a very good and intense I for one hate the ending but with X-Men things always changes I hope this is one of them. It was the last time that Hugh Jackman will play Wolverine though which does suck! He’s the only one I can see play Wolverine. They will have a new movie come out about Jean Grey which I will look forward to seeing. If you haven’t seen that movie, it’s out on DVD and Blu-ray. I have the steel book edition and I love it. You see Logan in a different light and Charles. The bond that they have on screen is great and it makes you look back at all the X-Men movies and this is by far the best.
