review 1: ‘Between Here and Forever,’ written by Elizabeth Scott is a novel about a mislead teenager who finds love and sets herself back on the right track. Miss. Scott gives her readers an understanding of accepting yourself for who you are, instead of living in someone else’s shadow. That is how Abby feels going against her smart and popular sister, Tess. In this book Miss. Scott writes about a girl named Abby that feels she cannot measure up to her perfect and irresistible sister, Tess that was in a car accident that leaves her in a coma. During the book, Abby tries to find a way to wake up her sister, that requires a boy named Eli. Abby later on finds out that nothing is not what it seems. On another note, while things aren’t going so well in Abby’s life, home also se... moreems to be the issue. Whether its feeling that her parents force her to become more like Tess, or becoming invisible to them. Overall, Abby doesn’t know how to be herself, but tries to become like the sister everyone loves. While reading 'Between Here and Forever,' Miss. Scott tends to repeat the feelings that Abby has. For example, Abby tends to feel depressed due to the fact of her sister, Tess being in a coma. Miss.Scott has an distinguished writing skills that let's readers understand the story, but also let's the readers have their own thoughts of the situation. Also, giving readers flashbacks to the past and giving the reader background information on the characters. On the other hand, Miss. Scott also gives readers curveballs about certain characters that you wouldn't imagine. Altogether, Miss. Scott has written a solid novel for teens, but also has many readers with unsolved questions.
review 2: Abby has always lived in her big sister's shadow and she okay with that. That is until the car accident which leaves her sister Tess in a coma. As Abby tries to wake up her sister she has to deal with the truth: she doesn't really know her. Abby searches through the past to discover the real Tess and along the way she starts to realise that she wasn't all that perfect...This was my first Elizabeth Scott Novel and I can say that I will be reading more of her work in the future. I found that the main character Abby hard to love at some points because she had no self-confidence and no sense of self-worth. Through the book she is constantly comparing herself to Tess. It was a bit eerie because I, at one point in my life, felt like her and if I tell the truth still do a bit. It was creepy how Scott created a character so real and truthful.Scott's writing style also brought me further into the story. Her dialogue and description seemed so right together and it all fit together like a puzzle. This book seems to tackle a lot of issues such as race, personality, sexuality and many more. It showed in all the characters. They were all so diverse and in the story they all had their own place. I like when an writer is truthful with their characters and doesn't paint them as unrealistic people, this book delivered on this point.A great story that will stick in your mind and make you think. I highly recommend it even if you aren't into the whole genre. Branch out a little! Go crazy! Read this book... Love the cover. Seems inspirational like the story. less

The characters stuttered too much but the ending was unexpected and interesting.
