review 1: I really did not enjoy this book at all. It was a sad depressing stand alone about losing a best friend that wasn't really a true friend anyway. Going into this, I was looking forward to laughs and maybe a happy ending. It had a somewhat happy ending but I didn't laugh and I had to put it down so many times just because I was sick of the characters. By the end, I was counting down the pages I had left before it was finished.
review 2: sweet. fluffy. 14+. accurately portrayed the typical, insecure mean girl, who is so flawed in her perfection you still connect with her. (girl who will turn into a bitter, emotionally stunted woman if she doesn't change (I'd read THAT)) the main character was likable, easily identifyable, and a good role model. the main guy was s
... moreweet, kind, and dumb in a teenaged boy kind of way. (grown men have this issue too) the conflict was his fault but not. I can see why he'd be intimidated by the beauty while unsure of the one he truly wanted. as for readers who get preachy; kids act like kids. look around at the adults in you life; they act even more immature, insecure, and their actions are ruled by both- just as our 'mean' girl in this story. overall, a very good book. less
