review 1: Healing Summer is a story that hooked me from the beginning. Craig Coulter is your typical playboy, but the minute Molly Hinkle arrives on the scene, his heart is as good as gone. I love the building tension in the plot. The entire time I read, I was rooting for Molly, hoping she'd get a clean bill of health. Mostly I love what Craig does when he realizes he can't live without her. From beginning to end, this book kept my interest. Elizabeth Seckman did a wonderful job weaving a plot just as captivating as her debut novel, Past Due, which was the first story of the Coulter men. I'd recommend this to anyone who loves a great romance.
review 2: This is the second book following Past Due. I loved the first but the second is my favorite of the 2. I guess you don't ... moretechnically have to read the first to understand the 2nd but it helps to understand more of the background of some of the minor characters, and story lines. This book has it all. Romance, conflict, a little "mystery" you could say...where u just wanna skip ahead and find out what happens, so you stay up all night reading and before you know it its time to get the kids up for school. Craig is the type of character that you have to "meet" to love. Which is exactly how I prefer because I don't know how a story will end before I've finished the first chapter *cough cough harlequin*. Seckman also gives minor characters the ability to become favorites and you find yourself hoping she writes a book about them too! Highly recommend. less
