review 1: I have to say that this book was no where near as good as the first three books of this series. However looking past that it was told with more of a focus on Heath rather than Larna it was a ok story with romance and the political intrigue that is to be expected with the mixing of the two cultures. We do get to follow Larna's story from a distance but I think it would have been better if it was from her view point as I still felt it was her story to tell rather than Heath's.
review 2: Very enjoyable conclusion to the Warlord series. Although I missed being close to Lara and Keir through first person perspective. I missed their thoughts.And although I enjoyed Heath and Atira's tale, I couldn't really relate to Atira. She was a little too "invincible" to me. But ... moreoverall, it was still a good read and it was nice to read about all the people I came to love in the trilogy prequel to this book. less
