Taken by the Lion God
review 1: ***SELECT AUDIENCE for non-consent***Taken by the Lion God was (or maybe still is) a freebie Paranormal non consent read with partial/full animalistic sex. When I saw Tiffany Reisz’s review I jumped on reading it immediately. It took me forever to review this book, so I don’t recall as much as I did once I read it, so bear with me as I take a trip down the memory lane. It was non consent and delicious in the sexy department with animalistic encounters and it had a Shakespearian feel to it. I don’t know, maybe Midsummer Night Dream non con feels. It was ok, different, but I felt detached and didn’t really care for the male MC. He was sort of out there raping and ravishing and I was sort of: whatever, just be done with it. I’ll not be following this serial but I ca... moren recommend it for lovers of pseudobeastiality just because there aren’t that many out there and its worth a try.
review 2: When all the gods and mythical creatures returned to the mundane world, Callie found herself captured by a half lion/half man Greek god named Mios. At first she was frightened by this horrible abduction experience, then she realized she would feel safe whenever Mios was around. The story in general was a mix of Stockholm syndrome and cavemen-style courtship. The powerful male would abduct an innocent woman, dragging her away from her family/friends. Then the male would force himself on the woman regardless of her struggles. Eventually, the two beings would live in harmony and started a family of sorts. The sex scenes between Callie and Mios were hot and smutty. But the part of two centaurs using Callie to relieve their sexual desires was very disturbing. I would probably give this book three or four stars if the those two centaurs never showed up in the first place. less
