review 1: This book made me want to move to lake country. The setting was great and I really enjoyed reading about Sam. My problem was with Lily, I just didn't like her. I appreciate the author trying to show how Lily's history and previous relationship affected her five years later and all that but she didn't really have very many redeeming qualities IMO. Also the internal struggles of both characters were a bit repetitive and exhausting.

Lily Carver grew up wealthy but her best friend in the world Sam Denning was from the poorer part of town. Through the years they stayed in touch but the romance that planted its seed all those yea... morers ago is in full bloom after Lily divorces her abusive husband and Sam makes his intentions know. Lily doesn't want the perfect relationship Sam would offer so she propositions him for a short affair that makes both of their heads spin and leaves their future hanging in the balance.I really enjoyed this book. Mady created dynamic characters that made you root for them until the very end. I really felt for Lily who had been severely messed up by her former husband. And Sam wove his way into my heart even more because he was extremely patient with her at her worst. The chemistry between these two was OUT OF CONTROL hot and steamy. Mady truly has a talent for creating awesome love scenes that play out very passionately.Overall, this was a fantastic short read. Once you open it and experience the wonderful chemistry between Sam and Lily I guarantee you won't be able to stop reading! less
