review 1: I really wanted to like this book, it sounded so interesting. There's many different mysteries/subplots happening and half the time I was confused at what was going on and who I was reading about. The two main detectives are also suffering from their own problems. One is pregnant and hasn't told her fiance and the other is still feeling the effects of being hurt on the job. I thought I was going to enjoy reading this murder-mystery but I was wrong and disappointed. I didn't connect with any of the characters and is it horrible when you are glad that one of them dies?
review 2: I admit this book disappointed me and agree with the person who said it didn't feel finished. There were a number of fascinating and novel twists and turns. But the use of first person p... moreoint of view for multiple characters fell flat, resulting in me not being invested in any of the characters until the very end and even then, not so much. I give high marks to atmosphere and setting and would definitely read this author again. I think she has promise. less
