review 1: GENERAL INFO: Book about Kane Archer and Whitney Jareau who were both mentioned in book 1. Kane feels guilty for the death of his fiance 2 years before, then he meets Whitney, this beautiful blond who works in the local coffee shop. She sticks up for herself and takes no crap from anyone, including Kane.. Kane is an emotional man, he doesnt cry but when he gets mad, he tends to destroy things (like his house) He went through a lot, was in the military right out of high school, then he met his fiance (Aimee) and she was killed. He goes on to find her killers. He is ostracized from the town, they all thought he had something to do with Aimee's death, which he didnt=======================================HERO:Hero Description: Tattoos, short hair cut, LOVES his peanut butter M and M's (which to me was a highlight in the book)Hero Likability Rating: 9 (would of given him a 10 but i didnt like how he met women at the bar, took them home, but couldnt finish and kicked them out with a hurtful putdown)HEROINE: Whitney, i really liked her, she was strong, independent, caring and beautiful Heroine Description: Blond hair, amazing figure, hard workerHeroine Likability Rating: 9 (the only thing i didnt like about her is how she told her friends Kane's story.. It wasnt hers to tell.)2nd CHARACTER(S): Zane (Whitney's brother) Lexie (from book 1) and Lukas (book 1) Kessel (Kane's friend and co-worker) Basil (Kane's awesome other co-worker) sorry if i miss some2nd Char. Description: Zane is Whitney's handsome brother who comes into the book near the middle, hes very supportive of Whitney, a bit of a player, and a hard worker. Lexie was in book 1, but she is in this book quite a bit. She was a bit of a whiner in book 1 but not so much this one. Lukas is Kane's former bestfriend, when Kane's fiance was killed, they went their separate ways since he was so close to Aimee and thought it was Kane's fault she died. Kessel is Kane's "right hand man" always there for him. review 2: Weird turn of events the Alpha male Kane Archer was the total biotch lol he treated Whitney badly and than turned back around and came back never apologizing but expecting her to forgive him what the heck!! Relationships don't work like that no matter what you argue about.....you always forgive one another before your head hits the pillow never go to bed angry!! But I did like this book not as much as the first book but it had my pulse racing at times definitely a roller coaster with Kane lol!!!! less
