review 1: This is a really good, short book on verses that are often misused. As stated at the end, "There can only be one proper interpretation of a text even though there may be numerous applications." Context matters. This book helps us keep in mind that we should ever practice determining what a passage means rather than making it mean what we feel. Or, technically speaking, we must always practice exegesis and not eisegesis.

Every Christian should at least read this book if not also own it. It is an eye opener, and I suspect a deliverer of many from misinterpreting the Bible! less
