review 1: Medicine for the female mind and soul. In this fast paced generation reading is sometimes difficult to squeeze into the day to day. Yet, the author has pointed out in this book why women need to do just that. It is very medicinally important to find a quick hour or at the very least 30 minutes to do so. She uses great women authors throughout history as examples of how they can heal our minds and souls. Loved this book.
review 2: This is a darling book! After racing through the entire thing, I went back and re-read a chapter at a time. Many of the chapters of this book were like making a quick phone call to an old friend; while they aren't nearly long enough, they bring smiles along with fond memories of shared experiences. Some of the characters were new to me
... more, but Blakemore sent me right to the library to get better acquainted. Definitely worth reading. less
