review 1: I found this to be a pretty entertaining novel. A recent college graduate gets a job at a Wall Street investment firm and quickly learns that not only is it not as glamourous as it sounds, it's an especially tough industry for women. She learns a lot about both the industry itself and the type of people that work in it, and is blown away by the amounts of money made, lost, and spent. One thing I learned by reading this is I never, EVER want to be involved with the finance sector.
review 2: The Devil Wears Prada on Wall street...except the clothing is not Prada but cheap knock-offs.(Not trying to be mean).Kind of neutral on this one. It's not terrible, but not fantastic either. Had it's humorous moments, but it's more fluffy than I expected. Your synapses wil
... morel not spark on this one either, because it's so predictable. For a girl who works on Wall Street, you'd think she'd be a little sharper in the department of romance.I would definitely give Erin Duffy another chance by trying another of her books, but if it follows in the heels of this one, I doubt I'd finish it or even get very far into it.Sorry Erin, not trying to be overly critical. I think your ideas for this book were good ones, just maybe too tough to make them fly. less
