review 1: A completely forgettable story. The only reason for the two stars is that the letters found in the pockets of the various dresses were quite descriptive and creative.....unlike the rest of the book. I found it all to be far too predictable. Our main character, a somewhat lost and ill-dressed gal, leaves college and returns home to sit vigil with her dying grandmother who, before she got sick, ran a vintage clothing store. In the course of the tale said granddaughter basically assumes grandma's identity, throwing off all her prior habits, right down to wearing vintage clothing each and every day, moving into her grandma's house and taking over the business. Of course there's a Prince Charming thrown in for good measure. The end.
review 2: It was ok I guess. My b
... moreiggest problem was the writing decisions. What I mean is that one chapter would be nearly 60 pages and another chapter would be 2. Not a big deal I guess but sort of annoying as a reader. The writing style seemed to change a lot. In one paragraph the writer would have fluffed up descriptions, beautiful words and descriptions. But in the next she would say things like "the feeling in the room was weird." Just not a lot of consistency. The story was ok though. less
