review 2: I don't read a lot of short story collections (pledge to change that!), so I don't feel like I'm in a good position to judge this one. However, I thought Etgar Keret has a lot of really creative ideas and that's what most of his stories are: Short ideas, or snippets
... more of stories which the reader has to continue in his head - or just leave it as it is, a short little look into someone's life, often told with a lot of humor. My favorite story is "Lieland", where the protagonist goes to the place where all the lies live that he's ever told. Such a simple idea, but so clever and told in a funny, straightforward tone. Sometimes his stories were a little too absurd for me - that's why I couldn't give it the full star rating. But I'll definitely keep Etgar Keret in mind for future reads! less

So well written and surreal, each chapter is a mind-f*ck. Loved it.
