review 1: Another wonderful combination of Greek mythology meets modern day! I just love this series. I tend to steer more towards the steamier romance rather than the YA. It's nice to step out of the comfort zone and find a good read that hold my attention. I read this in one day, which says a lot with how limited my time for reading has been. I just couldn't put it down. So many current issues that young adults face are addressed. It touches on sensitive subjects such as drug use and loss of loved ones. I applaud that the characters want to wait to have sex. So many YA books have them hopping into bed together so quickly after the characters meet. I'm so glad that this was not the case in this story. I can't wait to read the next installment in the Gate Keeper's ... moreSaga.
review 2: I loved the first book in this Saga, but this one is even better. Than has found a way for Therese to become a goddess, but she has to complete a series of challenges set by Hades. This is where the author's amazing knowledge of Greek Mythology shines through. It is so interesting to learn about the various Greek myths while enjoying the twists and turns of Therese and Than's relationship. The author intertwined the myths with the story so well, that even if you're not a fan of Greek Mythology, you will find yourself wrapped up in this story! My 14 year old daughter and 13 year old son both read this book (as well as the first) and couldn't put them down. It's a great read for all ages! less
