review 1: Syrupy sweet romance between a famous singer looking to put down some roots in a small town, and the local music teacher. This author has a consistent style of slow-paced, low-angst romances that are appealing but don't hang around in your mind afterwards. Although I do find their dialogue refreshingly natural and ordinary. Even the 3 yr old daughter sounds cute. Would go well with a nice block of Toblerone!
review 2: Famous small town rock star wants to put roots down again somewhere that feels like a home. He is tired of touring and L.A. Remey finds himself in Haven, exactly where he feels at home. Enter local music teacher, painter, bad boy under his suits (tats, yeah) who also has a darling if not a bit demon possessed 3 year old. When Remey comes to to
... morewn so do the Paparazzi which disturb the balance of the small town in Aleks' life. He starts out as a scowling major tool and continues in that vain for a good part of the book. Remey and Aleks cannot help fall for each other and the tension, heat and sex (although only two real scenes and the first one happens about 50% in) are done really well. The story does get weighed down by repetitive dialog and Aleks. He is just tiring. Even I wanted to jump in and bitch slap him. It tappers a bit after about page 30, but there are still moments of his toolishness throughout. Remey is the best thing in this book and honestly, read the story for him. He is outstanding! All in all I liked the story, just wish Aleks got slapped in the head earlier!! less

Am I delusional, or was this originally Kris Allen/Adam Lambert fanfiction?

Good story. The ending was a bit abrupt.
