review 1: I get all giddy when I find a free book that nails it. It's not like my expectations are high, because, well, it's free. Which is why, when it's good, I want to share it with everyone I know. The beginning of this story had me on edge. It was difficult to read, and Evan didn't make it easier with his doubts and issues. That's not to say I wasn't enjoying the story. It had me swept up in what was happening to Jamie. Jamie was a ball of fun, with his wit, and scowling. I laughed at most of his nicknames for Evan. Evan's self acceptance, and honesty should have been off-putting, because who wants Dr Pervy checking out your ass everytime you move, and getting all hot and bothered during normal medical procedures?! Seriously, I'm surprised Jamie wasn't more freaked out. It fit t... morehough, and it helped Jamie in its honesty. At least he knew where he stood. The sexy bits were hot. This was recommended to me because I requested something sexy and short to compensate for a rather dry book I was reading. I was not disappointed. The relationship development was solid. Even though they didn't communicate their feelings to each other, it was obvious they had a connection that could strengthen in time. The kink was fun, and sexy. Evan and his enemas... yes please. If you're squeamish about this sort of thing, you can skip those parts. There aren't many. The rest of the story will keep you interested. The best part, I felt, was how Jamie matured. It felt like he was a ornery teenager (I know he was in his early 20's) when we first meet him (conscious), but as the story continued he seemed to grow and develop into a more mature version of himself. Keeping his wit intact, but growing in ability to see reason and reflect, before reacting, as most (we hope) adults do. A great gay-for-you story with heart and depth.
review 2: This little diamond of a book had so many intriguing facets to it, even a high-end jeweller would not dismiss it without giving it a second glance, just to make sure. It's pervey and certainly kinky and combined with all that smutty talk? - loved it! The names Jamie called Evan were just so funny - "Dr. Smug-as-sh*t", Dr. Love-me-love-my butt nozzle" to name just a few. Yes, have to agree "Doctor knows best". less
