review 1: I bought this book having enjoyed previous ones by this author - and this one didn't disappoint. The story of single mum being set up on dates was treated with a warmth that is trademark to Fiona. There were points where I laughed, such as when the 'enhancement' date told Mum it would take four thousand to fix her face. Then there were poignant moments, too - such as when the boys are growing up and Mum isn't the be-all, any more. There's also a wry look at the dating scene. A night club called Honey and a tipsy would-be lover in Paris. Overall, I thought it a heart-warming tale that was greatly entertaining.
review 2: Although Fiona Gibson's writing is light and has a deft touch, I didn't enjoy the way she built her plot - with some areas of the novel seeming
... moreto trail off to nothing, and some characters seeming to have little reason for being present (other than to build artificial tension). Her characterisation was a little off as well - I didn't really get a sense of any of the characters particularly. Just a bit bland really. less

Was an ok read, not as good as some of her other books I've read but enjoyable anyway.
