review 1: A fun time travel-slash-romance book, set up by a portal made through aboriginal glyphs which bring a modern day American hiker- anthropologist to a lush, warm, alternate ancient Norse people. It is a light, quick read, compared to Gabaldon's books. If you read this book with her voice in mind, you will be disjointed, but if you enjoy the concept of the reverse time travel romance, you will be enchanted by this book.
review 2: I was pleasantly surprised to come across this book for free for the Kindle. I'll keep the review short because I hate spoilers. I loved the story. The characters were well developed. There was just enough romance, suspense, myth and magic to keep you turning pages without being overboard. I will definitely be recommending this to ... moreothers. I will also be looking forward to Forbidden Talents and although I know the focus of the next is on different characters I hope that a bit of this story will continue too. less
