review 1: I did not want this book to end. I really did not want these characters to exit from my life. I so much enjoyed the time I spent with them. I was telling my daughter how much I liked these characters and she asked, "ok, but what's the book about?". It's about a man coming to terms with his new role, after he has lost so much. But, mostly, it's about the characters. It's funny and touching. And I'm not ready for it to be over.
review 2: Nee, watt nett! Das kommt in die Hall of Fame 2014, auch wenn mir dieser Ove vermutlich nicht arg sympathisch wäre, hätte ich ihn getroffen. Seine Frau Sonja vermutlich schon eher. Insgesamt aber ein seeehr nettes Buch, gespickt mit sympathischen Charakteren, von der iranischen Nachbarin bis zum schwulen Caféhauserben.
