review 1: Трябваше да е една от книгите, които всички харесват, само аз не успявам.Вместо това забърсвах очи на няколко места, а през последните петнадесетина страници плаках постоянно. Не знам защо ме трогна толкова. Сигурно, защото романът се опира на всички онези ключави думички, които никога не ме остават равнодушна - "самота", "смърт", "принципи".И "живот" - това е книга за живота, най-вече за него.
review 2: A grieving curmudgeon's best-laid plans are consist... moreently, if accidentally, thwarted by his exhuberant new neighbors...and a cat.I love, love, loved this book! Although Stephen King says, "It's the tale, not he who tells it," I heartily disagree. Although this "tale" has plenty of stand-alone merit, it is Backman's droll wit and unique style that propel it into the "outstanding" category. Can't wait for the next by this author!Excerpts:"Ove glances at (the cat) as it rolls onto its side and starts snoring. He has to concede that the Cat Annoyance has a very direct approach to problem solving.""...following this up with a series of terms that no human being with less than ten years of medical training or an entirely unhealthy addiction to certain television series could ever be expected to understand.
